Don't have insurance, or prefer to pay out of pocket? Zyra Mental Health offers straightforward self-pay options for psychiatric care in Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio.
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before any scheduled medical service. This federal protection applies to uninsured and self-pay patients and helps you make informed decisions about your care.
All of Zyra Mental Health's evidence-based psychiatric services are available on a self-pay basis for adults in Ohio, both in-person at our Columbus and Cleveland offices and via telehealth statewide.
The No Surprises Act protects uninsured and self-pay patients from unexpected medical bills. At Zyra Mental Health, we provide a written Good Faith Estimate for every self-pay patient before any scheduled service — it's your right, and it's our standard.
Before scheduling, let our team know you'd like a Good Faith Estimate. We'll document the services you are expected to receive and their anticipated charges.
Under the No Surprises Act, your Good Faith Estimate is provided in writing at least 3 business days before your scheduled service (or 1 business day if scheduled closer in).
If your final bill is $400 or more above the Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
If your final bill is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the charges through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' patient-provider dispute resolution process. Disputes must be initiated within 120 calendar days of the post-service bill. We will include full dispute instructions and contact information with every Good Faith Estimate we provide.
A Good Faith Estimate is a written document that shows the expected charges for scheduled medical services. Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers must give uninsured and self-pay patients a Good Faith Estimate before any scheduled service. It is not a guarantee of final charges, but it gives you a clear picture of your anticipated costs.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate if you are uninsured or choose to pay for your care out-of-pocket (self-pay) rather than using insurance. This includes patients whose insurance plan does not cover a particular service and patients who are paying entirely on their own.
If you schedule a service at least 3 business days in advance, your Good Faith Estimate will be provided at least 1 business day before the service. If you schedule at least 10 business days in advance, it will be provided no later than 3 business days before the service. You may also request an estimate before scheduling.
If your final bill is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. We will include instructions on how to initiate a dispute with your estimate.
The estimate includes expected charges for the scheduled services known at the time. If additional services become medically necessary during your care, those may not be reflected in the original estimate. We will always discuss any new or changed services with you before they are provided.
Yes. Some patients choose to self-pay for services their insurance does not cover while using their benefits for covered care. Our team can help you understand which option makes the most sense for your situation and will provide a Good Faith Estimate for any portion of your care you choose to pay out-of-pocket.
